Kathy's accomplishments as a lifetime drugfree powerlifter speak for themselves. She is a true champion. Her work ethic on the platform or in the classroom is extremely dedicated, motivated, and focused on setting goals and reaching them. Kathy is a person to be emulated. She is a positive role model and shares her knowledge with anyone who wants to listen.

Kathy is the new 100% Raw Ironman/Woman National Womens's 181 Division National Champion. She set two World Records, Two National Records, and Two Virginia State Records. Her opening attempt for the bench and deadlift were both World, National and Virginia State Records. Bench 1st attempt was 220 lbs, 2nd attempt 230 lbs., and third attempt was -240 lbs. On the deadlift the opener was 360 lbs, then 390 lbs, and lastly -410 lbs. |

Kathy competed in the Anti-Drug Athletes United (ADAU) 13th
Annual Coal Country Classic Single Lift Championships. She set a
new Bench
Press American Record in the 181 lb women's open division, pushing 240.22 pounds in
the drug-tested raw division. Kathy won first place in
the 181 lb. women's open division of the Bench Press Championships and received
the Women's Outstanding Bencher Award.
Kathy also set a
new Deadlift
American Record in the 181 lb women's drug-tested raw division, pulling up 400.69
pounds. Kathy won first place in the 181 lb women's division of the Deadlift
Championships and received the
Women's Outstanding Deadlifter Award. |
| November 2006 | Kathy featured in Powerlifting USA's "Back Issue of the Month" which spotlighted the November 1997 issue of Powerlifting USA. Kathy was in the "Power People" section with then Governor George Allen and was recognized for her appointment to the Commonwealth on Physical Fitness and Sport for Virginia. |
